Day 31 Praise

1 Peter 1 (New International Version)

3 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ!
In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope
through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,

4 and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade—
kept in heaven for you,

5 who through faith are shielded by God's power until the coming of
the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time.

6 In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may
have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials.

7 These have come so that your faith—of greater worth than gold,
which perishes even though refined by fire—
may be proved genuine and may result in praise,
glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed.

8 Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though
you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with
an inexpressible and glorious joy,

9 for you are receiving the goal of your faith,
the salvation of your souls.

1 The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is on me,
because the LORD has anointed me to preach

captives and release from darkness for the prisoners,

2 to proclaim the year of the LORD's favor and
the day of vengeance of our God,
to comfort all who mourn,

3 and provide for those who grieve in Zion—
to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes,
the oil of gladness instead of mourning,
and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair.
They will be called oaks of righteousness,
a planting of the LORD for the display of his splendor.

4 They will rebuild the ancient ruins and
restore the places long devastated; they will renew

5 Aliens will shepherd your flocks; foreigners will work

6 And you will be called priests of the LORD,

The Glory of Zion
1 "Arise, shine, for your light has come,
and the glory of the LORD rises upon you.

but the LORD rises upon you and his glory appears over you.

3 Nations will come to your light,
and kings to the brightness of your dawn.

4 "Lift up your eyes and look about you:
All assemble and come to you; your sons come from afar,
and your daughters are carried on the arm.

5 Then you will look and be radiant,
your heart will throb and swell with joy;
the wealth on the seas will be brought to you,

Hannah's Prayer
1 Then Hannah prayed and said: "My heart rejoices in the LORD;
in the LORD my horn is lifted high. My mouth boasts over my
enemies, for I delight in your deliverance.

2 "There is no one holy like the LORD; there is no one besides you;
there is no Rock like our God.

3 "Do not keep talking so proudly or let your mouth speak such
arrogance, for the LORD is a God who knows, and by him deeds
are weighed.

4 "The bows of the warriors are broken, but those who stumbled
are armed with strength.

5 Those who were full hire themselves out for food, but those
who were hungry hunger no more. She who was barren has borne
seven children, but she who has had many sons pines away.

6 "The LORD brings death and makes alive; he brings down to the
grave and raises up.

7 The LORD sends poverty and wealth; he humbles and he exalts.

8 He raises the poor from the dust and lifts the needy from the
ash heap; he seats them with princes and has them inherit a throne
of honor. "For the foundations of the earth are the LORD's;
upon them he has set the world.

9 He will guard the feet of his saints, but the wicked will be
silenced in darkness. "It is not by strength that one prevails;

10 those who oppose the LORD will be shattered. He will thunder
against them from heaven; the LORD will judge the ends of the earth.
"He will give strength to his king and exalt the horn of his anointed."

1 哈 拿 禱 告 說 ： 我 的 心 因 耶 和 華 快 樂 ； 我 的 角 因 耶 和 華

8 他 從 灰 塵 裡 抬 舉 貧 寒 人 ， 從 糞 堆 中 提 拔 窮 乏 人 ， 使 他 們

1 Then Moses and the Israelites sang this song to the LORD:
"I will sing to the LORD, for he is highly exalted. The horse
and its rider he has hurled into the sea.

2 The LORD is my strength and my song; he has become my
salvation. He is my God, and I will praise him, my father's God,
and I will exalt him.

3 The LORD is a warrior; the LORD is his name.

11 "Who among the gods is like you, O LORD ? Who is like you
— majestic in holiness, awesome in glory, working wonders?

12 You stretched out your right hand and the earth swallowed them.

13 "In your unfailing love you will lead the people you have
redeemed. In your strength you will guide them to your holy dwelling.

14 The nations will hear and tremble; anguish will grip the people
of Philistia.

15 The chiefs of Edom will be terrified, the leaders of Moab will
be seized with trembling, the people of Canaan will melt away;

16 terror and dread will fall upon them. By the power of your arm
they will be as still as a stone— until your people pass by,
O LORD, until the people you bought pass by.

17 You will bring them in and plant them on the mountain of your
inheritance— the place, O LORD, you made for your dwelling,
the sanctuary, O Lord, your hands established.

18 The LORD will reign for ever and ever."
